Magdalena Gamayo: Guardian of Tradition and Master Weaver

Magdalena Gamayo of Pinili, Ilocos Norte, is a distinguished recipient of the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA), the National Living Treasure Awards. Established in 1992 by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), GAMABA recognizes custodians of folk art who excel in their communities, preserving technical skill and artistic brilliance.
